Italy’s Anfra Winery, located in Pineto in the province of Teramo offers visitors a chance to sample their fine wines along with a buffet of regional cuisine. During the summer, Thursday evenings are dedicated to tastings that begin at 6:30 p.m.
A family run undertaking, brothers Francesco and Antonello Savini manage the production and marketing, while mother Maria Teresa works her magic in the kitchen preparing the savoury dishes

As for their wines, Passerina is one that should be sampled. Made with 100% Passerina grapes, it is placed in steel tanks and receives subsequent aging in bottle.  A pleasantly fragrant wine, it is light straw colour and exhibits zesty citrus fruit scents while rewarding the palate with a desirable freshness. At this time, these wines are not found in Canada.
